Alex Ramirez
President/Director of Tennis

Alex Ramirez is the founder and president of ProTenn International. ProTenn was founded in 1998 as a tennis academy and has grown into a company that not only trains and develops players but also offers its clients financial services, video analysis software and services and is now venturing into the online media business and sponsorship of professional tennis players.
Alex’s system of training along with his team of experts is truly a world class combination. Players come from all over the country, many from Mexico, Canada and Europe to train part time and full time in the program.
Alex competed as a junior, played collegiate tennis and competed as a professional before focusing his efforts to the development of players. His system has developed local, sectional, national and international champions. Alex has worked with many world class tennis players as a consultant to the head coach, as an assistant coach overseeing stroke development and as a video analysis expert on stroke production and match strategy analysis. Currently he is coaching full time on the women’s tour and consulting on the men’s tour.
Darrin Schenck
Vice President/Director of Operations

Darrin retired from the Professional Racquetball Tour as a top 20 player in the world, he coaches the Arizona State University Men’s and Woman’s teams where in his second year as head coach they won a national title. Darrin’s experience is not only on the business side of ProTenn but also as a video analysis expert.
In 2005 Darrin worked closely with many of the top touring professionals and their coaches at Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Florida. He handled the on court practice sessions, giving the coaches real time analysis of their players strokes. On Tour, he analyzed players matches and prepared the video for the coaches to review.
Darrin is a Professional in every sense of the word, he handles all business contracts and negotiations as well as player interviews. He is the author of two racquetball books, Percentage Racquetball and Racquetball 101.
Tour Coach

Justin has over 15 years of coaching experience and has worked with professionals for over 10 of those years. Spending time at some of the countries top academies and working with ATP and WTA players.
Dayna Guizzetti
High Performance Coach
Dayna is a native of Seattle, Washingtonwhere she ended her junior career with a Pacific North West section ranking of 8th in the Girls 18’s.
She continued her tennis at Seattle University where she was honored with a 2nd Team All-American Award and a National Ranking of 27th in singles, 14th in doubles and assisted in a national team ranking of 6th.
Dayna has spent her adult tennis career playing competitively in Open tournaments and is currently on the Head/Penn Advisory Staff for 2012. Dayna has experience in teaching all levels and ages of tennis.

Gustavo Sanchez
High Performance/Tour Coach
Gustavo has acquired considerable skills from playing and coaching on the ATP Tour at the Challengers, and on the WTA Tour at the Master Series. He has also worked for prestigious clubs in Arizona and New York. He had the privilege of playing in college on a tennis scholarship in the NCAA-II Division at Dowling College in Long Island.
He achieved a career-high ranking of 7th in the country (2005 NCAA-II singles ranking). Gustavo has over 8 years of coaching experience and has been certified by the USPTA since 2006. His ultimate promise is to coach a player to victory at a Grand Slam tournament.
Gustavo is not only one of the top players in the western region but also one of the top coaches, helping players improve and get results.

Chris Breault
Executive Assistant / International Talent Scout / Management Intern

Chris comes to ProTenn with experience as a coach and player. He will be completing a one year internship on the management side of ProTenn and brings his experience as a talent scout in helping us identify the next Grand Slam Champion. Chris heads up our international scouting division and works closely with players interested in ProTenn Services.

Dr. Sanford Silverman
Peak Performance/Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Silverman, a licensed psychologist and former school psychologist, has post-doctoral training in various therapy systems including cognitive, behavioral, family systems, constructionist therapy and biofeedback. Dr. Silverman is experienced in working with children, adolescents and adults, both in diagnosis and treatment. In addition, he specializes in providing peak performance training and programs to help athletes and business professionals improve their mental focus.

Tim McClellan
MS, CSCS
Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Tim has been working with ProTenn athletes for over 10 years and is an expert at designing a program that is specific to each player. His experience keeps our players injury free and on the court.
Along with his history of having worked with a variety of WTA and ATP Players, for the past two decades, Tim has distinguished himself nationally as an innovator in the performance enhancement field. Tim has coached more than 200 NFL players, 12 Olympic gold medalists, more than a dozen NCAA individual champions, 9 NCAA team champions, more than 200 NCAA All-Americans and National Champions of 17 different sports. Tim also coached at Arizona State University for 13 years and has worked with USA Olympic wrestling team, the World Champion USA powerlifting team, and the Boston Bruins. He was honored by the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 1990 as a recipient of their President’s Award.
Tim was twice named Head Coach of the USA Powerlifting team, Olympic Strength Coach for 1996 USA Wrestling Team and Consulting Coach to the Boston Bruins. He has published over three dozen articles on training and produced 12 instructional video tapes. Stand-out athletes he has coached include NFL Pro-Bowlers Donovan McNabb, Simeon Rice, Keith Bullock, Scott Player and Olympic Champions Kurt Angle, Kenny Monday, Gary Hall Jr. and Stacy Dragila.

Todd Ellenbecker
DPT, MS, SCS, OCS, CSCS, USPTA
Todd Ellenbecker is a physical therapist and clinic director of Physiotherapy Associates Scottsdale Sports Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. He received his degree in physical therapy from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1985 and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Arizona State University in 1989. He completed his doctorate in physical therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital –Institute of Health Professions in 2006. In addition, he is a certified sports clinical specialist, and orthopaedic clinical specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association.
He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and was awarded the Sports Medicine Professional of the Year in 2003 by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a certified USPTA tennis teaching professional, and is Chairman of the USTA National Sport Science Committee. Todd is also the National Director of Clinical Research for Physiotherapy Associates.
Ellenbecker served as the Chairman of the APTA’s Shoulder Special Interest Group from 1996 to 2002 and is a manuscript reviewer for JOSPT and the American Journal of Sports Medicine. He has also served on the editorial board of the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and as an associate editor of the Strength and Conditioning Journal. He has conducted and published research primarily on upper extremity athletes, shoulder and elbow rehabilitation as well as on open and closed chain rehabilitation for the upper and lower extremities.
He has conducted research and lectured internationally on shoulder and elbow rehabilitation as well as isokinetic exercise application and musculoskeletal adaptations in elite level tennis players. He is the author of several books, “The Elbow in Sport”, “Complete Conditioning for Tennis”, “Closed Kinetic Chain Exercise”, “Strength Band Training” and “Clinical Examination of the Shoulder”. He is the editor of the second edition of “Knee Ligament Rehabilitation” and “Shoulder Rehabilitation: Non-Operative Treatment” and is co-editor of the book “The Scientific and Clinical Application of Elastic Resistance”. He is presently completing several books, Functional Progressions in Sport Rehabilitation and the Second Edition of Complete Conditioning for Tennis.
Dr. Tom Incledon
Human Health Specialists
Since 1989, Tom has maintained a significant role in the field of human health and athletic performance enhancement. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Human Performance Specialists, Inc. and Human Health Specialists where he helps individuals from all walks of life improve their health, quality of life, and athletic performance. He also advises some of the world’s most popular dietary supplement and nutraceutical companies on effective formulations.
Tom’s academic background includes an A.S. in Management, B.S. in Exercise Science, B.S. in Nutrition, M.S. in Kinesiology, and Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology. He is a registered dietitian, certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), and plans to pursue a medical or naturopathic doctor license in the future. His past research has covered weight loss, weight gain, athletic performance enhancement, and the physiological effects of diet and exercise. He is a member in over 30 different scientific organizations and serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
As a person who practices what he preaches, Tom is not one to be satisfied with all work and no play. His passion is competing in various weight lifting events, and he has been ranked nationally in powerlifting, Olympic lifting, all around lifting, and strongman competitions. His best lifts include: 187 pounds in the one arm snatch (with 7 foot bar), 286 pounds in the power snatch, 352 pounds in the power clean and jerk, 452 in the front squat, and 615 pounds in the dead lift, all while weighing under 200 pounds. Tom has also set national records in strongman competitions, including 19 reps in the 200-pound axle press.
